A walk through the Pierre Rousse Woods.

Description

Starting from the car park at the Celliers cable car, follow the small path which follows the main road towards La Thuile. Then take the track which goes up in the woods on the way out of the hamlet. Take some altitude through the forest by going towards the Logis des Fées (Fairy’s Abode). Once on the mountain road, follow it for a few meters and then dive back down towards Celliers-dessus. Cut across a nice alpine prairie before finding your way back on the main road which will take you back to the starting point.

    Celliers La Chapelle village

The picturesque little village of La Lauzière has the benefit of its own gondola leading directly to the resort of Valmorel. Located along the road of the famous Col de la Madeleine mountain pass in summer, in winter the road does not climb further than the village. This is also the start point for a range of hikes in summertime.
