Recommandations

Rando Vanoise has been designed to help you pick and choose your outings, but cannot be held liable where they are concerned. The mountain offers up a wide range of routes and trails for cyclists of all levels, but remember, it is a living, unpredictable environment and it is important that you head out suitably equipped. Ask advice from cycle rental operators.
If in doubt, you can take an introductory lesson in how to ride an electric bike with an instructor.

If you see a herd ahead, slow down and go round it. If there is a patou, a guard dog, climb down from your bike and walk, pushing it alongside you. Avoid making any sudden or aggressive gestures towards the dog and move away from the herd slowly and calmly. The dog will only be checking that you do not pose a threat to its herd. Respect the parkland and close gates behind you after you've gone through them.

The mountain is living, please respect it by staying on the paths and tracks.

  • Architecture

    Celliers La Chapelle village

The picturesque little village of La Lauzière has the benefit of its own gondola leading directly to the resort of Valmorel. Located along the road of the famous Col de la Madeleine mountain pass in summer, in winter the road does not climb further than the village. This is also the start point for a range of hikes in summertime.
  • Architecture

A trail in discovery of the avalanche galleries

In wintertime, Celliers sits within a circle of avalanche paths. Considerable resources, as you will discover, have been harnessed to provide protection from these natural phenomena.
Ideal for the whole family, this 3.5km educational trail will help you to understand how communities first of all lived "with" avalanches before undertaking extensive work from the 1950s so that residents in the 5 hamlets could go about their lives safely all year round.

  • Refuge

    Logis des Fées refuge

Perched at an altitude of 1,839m, this refuge is open all year round for meals. And while you're there, don't miss the sweeping views from outside!
